James will discuss the interpretive approach that informed the creation of the new Holocaust Galleries at IWM. He will outline some the fundamental principles that underpinned the design and the way that the team worked to use design and space, in alignment with objects, text and media to respond to these in order to attempt to reflect key developments in Holocaust historiography. He will also address a few of the challenges that the team faced as they worked on the project.
